Oddly, the research shows these actually do work; other drivers leave a bigger gap to such cars. Why these idiots aren't leaving a sensible gap in the first place, I don't know. Mind you if I had my way the police would drive along the motorway in unmarked cars and pull every muppet they see driving at 70 a cars length behind the car in front for dangerous driving.

So the OP is saying that the biker KICKED the wing mirror off a moving car, deliberately, whilst travelling at 70mph?
To lift your leg up high enough and stick it out far enough to kick off a wing mirror at 70mph on a motorbike would be very difficult. The wind resistance alone would make it hard to aim your foot and it would unsettle the bike.
Either the biker was as flexible and as well balanced as a 13 year old Romanian gymnast or there is something that you aren't telling us.
Also, driving into the cones is retarded when they ended only 300yds further up.

I still want to know how you knew he was a Nazzi, now it seems he's a gymnastic Nazzi with world class balance and skills on a bike. Actually come to think of it on anything mildly sporty the position your leg would be in would make it truely amazing to get your leg up high enough to kick a wing mirror. Was he on the back wheel at the time ?

I can't condone the bikers actions, but I can't say I've never done it myself.
Last time I did it was when a car forced me in to the gravel area of the central reservation and then gave me the finger when I sounded my horn at him (after regaining control of my now flailing bike). In a fit of rage, I punched his mirror downwards to remove it from his car and returned the finger gesture.
I would imagine he punched your mirror rather than kicked it off. I have a sports bike and I can tell you. It would be almost impossible to kick a mirror off at the angle one has to sit on a bike. Well, unless you drive something really low like an Elise or a Westfield or something.

I beleive this story is madly madly over exagerated.
I think what happend is that you got cut up by a motorcyclist, but it wasnt dramatic enough to qualify for OCUK Motors, so added your imagination.

as a biker who has never owned or learned to drive a car (had bikes since about 15) i can vouch for the bikers red mist. My biggest peeve on the road aside from the scooter brigade is white van man, thats the only time ive lashed out was when i was filtering between stationary traffic. White van man looked in the wing mirror seen me coming and gently turned the van to the left blocking the nice little slipway between the lanes.
That would have been fine had i not been halfway along side him when he turned. So i hit the horn and he continues to turn left, i nip into the left lane when i get a gap and get in front of him then crawl along bout 5 mph
next thing hes nudging the back of the bike with the bumper of his van when we are stationary.
I put *** bike on the sidestand get off and take out the mobile phone and gesture like im taking a picture of his number plate then he got out of the van and i phoned a mate pretending i was calling the police started saying id liek to report a road traffic accident involving a van driver who was driving while usinga mobile phone.

Most idiot bike riders are couriers/commuters. Serious bike enthusiasts would not do something like this.
