Gone......
I remember a thread quite a while ago where everyone posted thier fuel mileage. Tried searching for it, but I guess it's been pruned.....

Was wondering what each of you got for mpg. If you could, please tell me your vehicle weight, engine size, and type of fuel.

I'll start things off:

1995 Dodge Neon, 1095KG, 2.0L petrol = 36mpg

1986 Toyota Tercel Estate 4X4, no idea on weight, 1.5L petrol = 26mpg

1981 Chevrolet 1/2 ton 4X4 truck, 3,123 KG, 5.0L petrol = 12 mpg

All figures have been converted from US mpg to Imperial mpg, so no jumping on me for the Neon's mileage. I get 30mpg, but that's on a US gallon (3.785L).....

Um

Clio 1.8 16v Petrol, 980Kg =

38Mpg, on a real careful motorway trip
35Mpg on normal motorway trip
30Mpg for mixed roads
20-25Mpg for town.

My Puma (1.7) averages about 40MPG over a week's worth of driving - which is mainly B Roads (3rd gear ;)), and A roads. With some light town driving, I'm lucky enough not to have to worry too much about traffic (/touch wood).

As a point of reference, my old 307 HDi would average 48MPG on the same sort journey.

Over about 1500 miles I have averaged 27-28MPG. About 95% city driving around Bristol, 5% Motorway.

2.0l 1500Kg Mondeo Estate

Ford Anglia, 1660cc precrossflow with full race head, hot cam and twin Webers, 750Kg/1650lbs I get about 25mpg, less in town.

Vespa ET4, 125cc, 110Kg, 80mpg in town or more

2003 Seat Toledo 20VT, 1.8 20v Turbo.

75mph indicated on the motorway taking it easy - 39mpg
Normal motorway driving - 36mpg
Normal everyday avergae - 30mpg
Hooning it constantly - 18mpg (I've managed an average of 11mpg on one trip :D )
Town driving - 24-25mpg

You could take 2-3 mpg off those figures for using 95RON instead of 98RON.

I miss my old Passat, I used to love seeing an average of 55mpg on the motorway :(

50mph cruise: 58mpg
70mph cruise: 42mpg
95mph cruise: 32mpg
town driving : 25mpg

Im averaging 36mpg - not bad for a 5 meter long automatic leather armchair on wheels.

* trip computer has been spot on every time I have worked mileage out from a full tank.

1999 Peugeot 106 GTi, 1.6 16v, ~950kg.

95 RON Unleaded, I've averaged between 38-42mpg out of my last 5 or 6 tanks of petrol. Normal driving really, accelerating hard when clear roads allow, and pressing on down the lanes to and from work. I generally tend to potter along in towns and villages though, there's no point racing about in the 30/40 limits - hence my town economy is quite good.

VX Veccie B 2.0DTi..
Average mpg - 48 (Mixed Motorway 80%/ Town 20%), no real congestion
Careful Motorway trips - 58MPG
Motorway trips with cruise set @ 95 - 36MPG (obviously this includes some bits where I have to slow down to a pedestrian 70 or so)

VX Zafira 1.9 CDTi
Average MPG - now 43 (was 47 before I had it remapped to 200BHP, the remap upped the average to 51, but after a careful 1000 miles, I can't stop flooring it everywhere.. hence the lower average now..)
Careful Motorway trips - 56 MPG

GSXR 600 - Over 4800 miles I averaged 42 MPG, including hooning arounf
GSXR 1000 - Over 7500 miles I have averaged 39 MPG, not bad for the performance..

2006 Ford Fiesta 1.4 CDTI - since new 3.5k miles @ 48.6mpg average. Lots of town driving, aircon on all the time and driven like its not mine (as its not)
