I filled up with £15 the other day bringing me to a bit less than half a tank, the gauge is now at a bit under quarter tank and the fuel light has come on. Does anyone know what the average miles left is at this point given a daily commute (4.5 miles) ?

I could not see this info in the manual.

Interested in knowing cheers!

P.S. Done 115miles since the last top up.

Your OBC should tell you how many miles you've got left in the tank. Suprised the light is on with a quarter left though, mine only tends to come on once I'm down to under a fifth.

My OBC doesn't have that option, I have only the mpg dial, or maybe it's an option I have not found yet ?

It's a bit under a quarter tank left though, It's like half way from quarter and empty :o

I always put 50 quids worth in, that way the price rises never effect me. Always thinking...
And waste loads of money each year dragging round a lake of fuel, I never put more than £20 in unless I'm going somewhere and don't want to have to stop on the way.

When you fill up you lose some to vapour, when you fill up you may have to make some kind of detour.

Petrol proobably has a density of ~0.7 so the difference between £50 and £20 is probably about 20kg. Its not the largest amount of extrat weight.

In addition I value my time over queuing in a petrol station any day.

Ah yes, but you live out of bins and I have a massive house, loads of land, my own lake and a Porsche, so to me £50's are all over the place and on the toilet roll holder in every one of my many bathrooms. :p

Oh yes, and by the way, I was making a joke along the lines of "it don't matter how expensive fuel is, it only costs me a tenner!". So ripping into my own stupid logic. I tend to find jokes loose something when people think your being serious, bit like the first paragraph of this response ;)
