Can I just stick a bottle of redex in? Or do I need special fuel stabiliser / anti rust stuff in there? Planning to store my Hornet while I decide what to do with it.

Thanks.

Probably worth putting the proper stuff in if you don't know how long it will be in storage. The ethanol in modern fuel attracts water.

What is the proper stuff? Just Redex, or other?

It should be fine? Longest I've stored mine was 2 or 3 years,

Probably, it was stored for a year without anything, then a further 6 months after running for a while and was absolutely fine, but would prefer to do it 'properly'/

Thanks

When I put my bike to sleep of the winter months
I put half a bottle of Wynns dry fuel in the tank.
you can get it from Halfords or other motor factors.

Bikes (cars to for that matter) can pickup a surprising about of water in the tank over time.
I have seen some people get about half a pint of brown rusty water out a bike tank and that's from a bike used daily, never mind
one stored.
that's why I first used the Wynns stuff on my bike when I first got it, just to make sure it was clear.
