, as he's too cheap to fill it up more as he only uses petrol to start the cars or when his lpg runs out completely.a lot of people will tell you that if you let your tank run low you will get all the crap in the bottom of the tank into your engine, but in reality unless you have a diesel and actually let it run dry you aint going to have a problem. ON my previous car (Renault 19) I had a digital readout with fuel remaining and as soon as it reached 1gal the fuel warning light would come on. Its the same on the Megane I have now although I now have a digital readout and a needle.
(which is what i realise you were talking about DOH!)Mine beeps and turns on when the trip computer says there is 50 miles left in the tank,
.Mk1 Focus' still have a ridiculous amount left when the light comes on.
I put a tenner in once with the light on and it was still on afterwards. I also did 50 miles on the yellow light but didn't want to risk going any further.
Focus ST light comes on when the fuel remaining hits 50 miles, its stupidly long but I guess if you were to rag it then you would get a lot less than 50 miles
my old car was 2 gallons when the light came on so around 50/60 miles range, its really changeable depending on the angle of the road though!
Will be when you have a gallon left.
after the fuel light in my astra comes on, I can probably get away with about 25 miles or so, but the light then does start to flash when its getting dangerously low
