Hi there if your after a week on peace and stuff its fine
but everything closed down at midnight and the bloody wild cats where a menace to say the least
i would not recommned it for children at all .
and it is very windy ideal for wind sufers but not a place i would wish to return too even if it was for free

its like landing on the moon in the only green bits you will see is at the airport
lol
if you not booked it yet stay well clear of the place

nothing of intrest to see there was the worst 14 days of my live imo

it's a little bit scummy in parts (like touristy scummy) but i've stayed there 4 times it was awesome every time, pick the right place and you're set, theres holidays which are better, but for the money its a great holiday

I've been there 3 times, is a fantastic place :) Can't remember much because I haven't been for nearly 8 years but what I do remember was great. The big sand dunes, the lovely wind + big waves at the north of the Island.

As above, the cats do get a bit annoying. My dad actually kicked one off of the balcony because it was trying to poop (the cats are as popular out there as the pigeons are in England)

I'm sure you'll have a lovely stay.

Oh, and if you do choose there, make sure you rent out a 4x4 for a day and go off road  :D

first of all where in oxford you from ?

second my missus went back in march and liked it and her freind came home today from there after 2 weeks and loves it altho she has family out there and is moving out there in september but they reckon its great :)

We stayed on Lanzarote and we could see Fuerteventura just on the Horizon from our hotel balcony.

Lanzarote is lovely and we decided to pop over to Fuerteventura on the ferry, we had been there 30 mins before we turned around and went back for the ferry.

I cant say whether the whole island is the same but it reminded me of the scummiest parts of Blackpool. Some of the hotels actually had bars over the windows and razor wire over the walls!

As said its like the moon when you land. Travelled by coach for what seemed like an eternity through just barren rocky/ sandy areas to get to the hotel. We stayed in a very nice hotel "Club Jandia Princess" which obviously makes the difference with any holiday. If you do go hire a 4x4 and go and have a look around yourself.

Whent to Fuerteventura about a month ago and as someone said earlier its like landing on the moon but with oxygen. Everything looks the same and it gets very windy so stay off the beaches when the wind picks up otherwise you will get sandblasted off and it can sting sometimes.

We stayed in jandia which on the south of the island. I recommend you do the jet ski tours, great fun and lasts for ages :D .

Dont visit the water park its the worst thing in the world, the slides are poo and the water is super chilled i swear lol.

Wouldnt go again tbh. Not much to do really.

I Have been 3 times now. Purely to get away from it all, get some sun, cheap booze, ciggies (i smoked back then) and good food.

It was fantastic for all of the above. I have stayed at Correlejo twice and Jandia once.

I just lazed about by the pool and catched up with all the sleep i missed due to late nights in the uk. Caught up on my reading, ans did nothing more exciting than ride the jetskis.

Correlejo doesn't have a proper beach, but they are reachable by short bus or taxi.

Jandia has the most beautiful beach i have ever seen.

Horses for courses really. If you looking for a thrill a minute, plenty of nightlife etc, you won't find it here. If you want to completely chill out and relax with the odd day at the beach- you'll love it.

The key is getting the hotel right- good reviews, good facilities etc. Stay away from All inclusive unless you want a hotel full of chavs (sorry - but it has to be said)

The wind on the beach can be a problem, but its not always windy. Pick your days.
