Does anyone know of any remote shutter release cables for the fuji s9500. I've managed to find one on e-bay, but that's in America and I'd be paying more in delivery than the item costs. I've had a google and, apart from the one on ebay, couldn't find any that seemed like they'd be compatible. I always presumed that it was just a standard lead, but there seems to be tons of different ones for different cameras.

im looking at the same thing for my s9600, I think IIRC that its a standard size so most can fit, I think the manual states its a ISO 6053: 1979 compliant cable release. Not sure if that will help but I think its a fairly generic part. If you find one let us (me ;) ) know :)

A standard cable release will fit.

A couple of quid from your local high street photography shop :)

on some cameras, usually higher end ones like SLRs etc have a thread on the shutter button so you can put this on, so you dont have to hold the camera, useful for long exposures and things, you minimise shake on the camera.
