Fujitsu 73.5GB 15,000RPM

Remember that its a SCSI drive, so that you will need a seperate controller card and cable to use it. The speed will be good, but it will also be louder and hottere than most drives.

hm....don't like the noise part. As far as Sata is concerned which is the fastest available drive(50-80GB)? I spare no expense

36Gb Western Digital Raptor (The newer 16Mb cache ones) or a 74Gb Raptor.

Edit; I don't own SCSI drives myself so I can't say how much louder they are, so it might not be that bad.

This Western Digital Raptor 74GB WD740ADFD 10,000RPM SATA 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-087-WD) or this one :Western Digital Raptor 74GB WD740GD 10,000RPM SATA 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-015-WD)

Ain't no reviews around?

The one with the 16Mb cache is the newer and better one. They might be reccomeding the 8Mb cache one due to the newer one not having been released at the time of the review.

I went for the 74GB WD740ADFD 10,000RPM SATA 16MB :D

36Gb is too small for today needs and upcoming Vista so decided that its worth to get the 74gb. 150gb was too expensive for my budget. I already have 2 Sata seagate 400Gb and 200Gb
