So there is going to be a total Eclipse in March 15. Unfortunately you can only see it in the faroe islands.

You can get quite cheap flights out there.

Or take a over priced cruise on a crap boat

What is putting my off is that the Locals of the backwards island thing its ok to kill a bunch of whales every year in the name of tradition and sport!

If they could guarantee clear skies on the day, I'd book a ticket right now. But islands in the North Sea... yeah, it's going to be clouded over and there will be nothing to see.

Flights aren't that cheap, £156 is fine but I'm not in Copenhagen.....

He's meaning that the topic title is nothing to do with the latter part (or main crux) of this topic taking a swipe at the Faroe people for killing a load of animals.

To be fair if you want to see a Total Eclipse, just go onto youtube

:p

What Jokester said. I saw the '99 totality, told my Devon grandparents 3 years in advance so that they could put me up for the week :-) Shame about the weather, but I still enjoyed the experience. We were atop a local hill near Paignton, think it was a TV mast hill, lots of kids and families there. When it was curtains, some street lamps in the distance turned on and the kids howled like wolves.

2015 eclipse, I am still interested because it will be at least 80% coverage where ever you are in the country. Scotland will obviously have better coverage, so I'll try and stop at an old uni mate's who lives up there. I think it will still get dark like dusk, temperature drops and the sun will be a pin*****).

(I don't think that word btw is a sweary, even when used offensively. The GameFAQs boards recognises "Shattrath" as being a city from WoW and therefore doesn't partially filter it.)

I saw the one in 1999. A group of us went up on a hill and waited for it. it was about 10-11am IIRC. There was an allotment just by it and you could hear all the ****-a-doodle-doos as the light came back.
