So there is going to be a total Eclipse in March 15. Unfortunately you can only see it in the faroe islands.

What is putting my off is that the Locals of the backwards island thing its ok to kill a bunch of whales every year in the name of tradition and sport!

For the locals its a source of meat, and the whales/dolphins are killed as humanely as possible

The year of everything. Great view of it on a roaring bright clear sunny day, boss gave us 5 minutes, we pulled out the welding masks and enjoyed the view.

Not enough for me to go/travel for the expierence again, but i understand why many would.

Hehe, the eclipse chasers on the BBC must have been pretty disappointed. It's a really clear morning here in birmingham so I got a fantastic view. That's one advantage of being on nights I suppose!

Really lucky to get those - only had a 1 min break in the clouds right at the parhelion.

I had everything set up and the sky was clear up until the moment and then thick dark clouds covered the sun and sky. What a disappointment.

To be honest I doubt whether I would have got a decent image anyway being new to this DSLR malarkey. Still a shame to have missed it though.
