Hi,
Tonight I've noticed that when I full-screen a video on YouTube it pushes my Core, Shader and memory clock up quite a bit causing a temperature rise similar to when I'm gaming- when I am in normal screen they go to idle speeds and temp.Is this normal because it just seems a little strange.

I don't know how long this has been going on for only noticed tonight as it got quite stuffy in my room so i checked temps and GPU was on 60 for a YouTube vid :|

GPU: Geforce GTX 570
if you need any more info just ask :)

Thanks

I was about to say my clock increases to 1110mhz when fullscreen yt vid is on, but after a few secs it dropped back to 324mhz.

What are you temps roughly when completely idle?

completely idle probably 38-41 - i tried it on full screen for 10minutes and it didnt drop down and temp raised to 60

I cba to put my 580 back in to see if it's a fermi thing. .. different cables etc. But, do you have more than one monitor plugged in? that increases temps on fermi cards too.

If your temps are ok when gaming I wouldn't worry about it. It could be a quirk of the architecture.

If you right click the youtube vid and go to flash's settings, disable hardware acceleration and see if that helps.

yh 2 monitor set-up so that could be it - haven't been like it for long either which explains why i didn't realise it -- temps dont seem to get too high when gaming - ill try that hardware accel thing -- thanks for the feedback
