Just got an absolute cracker on my parents. For those of you that dont know, Tom Baker is now the voice of texts to BT Land Lines.

Sent this to the parents earlier.

"Hello. I am the Doctor. My dog K 9 is missing. Have you seen him?"

It was a complete  moment for them. I've just listened to the message and its absolutely flawless. It even sounds like he is asking a question with the addition of the ? at the end of the message i sent.

It really is quite clever stuff.

Oh no, this is gonna start costing me now. :p

*disappears to text his own land line*

Just texted phone asking if my Mum could bring me a slice of cake.....she just called me a nutcase and starting laughing, hasn't answered my question though. :(

Do you just write a text and send it to the landline number then!?

Yes, but remember to include full stops where you want pauses, and question marks when you are asking a question etc.

Whats the NTL voice like?

Also does it just cost the same as a normal text

No idea what happens on a non BT line. As far as im aware it costs the same as a normal text.

Annoying. :( It will just appear as a normal text on the phones screen, damn phones. Wish they didnt have that as this sounds lots more fun!

He can pronunce TARDIS correctly but to get him to say Dalek with the correct pronunciation you have to spell it 'dalek' :(

Just did one to young master Feek who is a big Doctor Who fan - He thought it was great :)
