Fun with Text Messages to Land Lines

If a quick drink out or going round friends turns into an all night bender I usually text our home number so I do not get locked out.

Last night I sent one and it arrived 7am this morning! :(

It sounded really funny though, new voice and all.

He can pronunce TARDIS correctly but to get him to say Dalek with the correct pronunciation you have to spell it 'dalek' :(

Just did one to young master Feek who is a big Doctor Who fan - He thought it was great :)

K.

I love using the excuse that it's my son that's the Doctor Who fan. :D

I think all dads need to buy the Remote Control Dalek for their sons, just so us dads can get together and battle. ( at the Edinburgh meet maybe? lol )

Interestingly enough, it works with the Tom Baker voice on my NTL university landline from O2 mobile. Get a woman speaking first telling me it's the BT SMS service and that I should press 1 to hear the message.

I texted RandomTom a week or so ago with "I'm going to kill you and your family........ Roffle Waffle", to which I got the response: "I had a bath once, it was a Wednesday". Thing is, the response arrived at 7am, about 10 hours after it was sent which woke the whole house up. My mum was so confused after answering the phone and hearing that. :p
