In my current document in Word, the grammar check is telling me to hyphenate the phrase "better known". Ironically, when I do this the same check tells me to remove the hyphen.......
At least it did not crash my PC in an endless loop. Perhaps the take home message is to learn some grammar and not rely on Word and Mrs Snail.

Anyone else have any interesting software foibles?

Open Office is pretty good. As snail1 says, sometimes get some formatting and layout problems when opening word files in Open Office and Open office files in Word.

I currently use it on my PC, and have Office on my laptop.

The price makes it even better :D For the minimal amount of word processing and spreadsheet work that I do it's perfectly good.
