The profit is probably considerably more, they don't even pay £500+ for the cards.

That's a shame... I miss the days when AMD actually helped to drive the tech and competed with NVidia... now all they do is struggle to match them.
Then at least, when they were close/similar performance... you'd get the cards much cheaper.

Can't understand why. They are categorically worse than the 980ti at the exact same price point. Seems a lot of people don't bother reading reviews before purchase.
It wasn't AMD that set the price at that level. The card was available for a lot less than that.

Poor show on OCuk for the mark up IMO.
Not impressed, but not disapointed with Fury x. Just seems like an alternative to the 980ti to me.

980Ti = £510
Fury X = £510 (ignoring the horrific launch day price gouging by OcUK)
980 = £380
Performance 980 < Fury X < 980Ti
Price of Fury X should be £450 at most to compete in this market segment... £400 or just under ideally as it's AMD vs Nvidia and AMD can't charge the same £/performance as NVidia as their support structure is much worse.

Get a reference one and watercool it.
Im done with reference cards haha, fed up of changing coolers on them mate.
Neither, get the MSI Gaming, IMO the best graphics air cooler out there at the moment, in terms of price and performance.
500 in tomorrow.
EVGA Hybrid..
IF you can get one and that is a big if.
G1 as its the best.
As nice as the G1 is, you'll always be overclock limited by the temperature which will throttle the card long before you are by the card itself. If you are spending £650 on a GTX980Ti the Hybrid is a much better option if you have a place to put the water cooler unit.
That is of course assuming you can actually get one.
