Everything becomes a classic eventually, even if it's not a particularly desirable car.
cars are like everything these days. If it goes wrong, throw it away and buy another one.
Cars today don't last long enough to become classics, there's a reason that the E-Type is still worth a ton, where as, even a decent 205GTi can be bought for less than £1000

True, some cars tend to become cult classic and have novelty value to them.

Cars from around early 90's and mid 90's and onwards as I personally consider some cars before to be classics.
