I'm looking to upgrade my computer within the next two months and will probably be getting a core i7. If I wait till the end of December, hopefully there will be a wider range of motherboards to choose from and therefore more competition to drive prices down.
However, this won't be the case with graphics cards and from what I read(on a review site I can't mention here), their prices are likely to keep on increasing and new stock will end up a lot more expensive (4870x2 at £400 apparently).
So my question is: is it better to get a graphics card now while retailers still have the cheaper stocks or should I still wait and see what happens. I'm looking at the 4870 1gb in particular.
