future upgrading

I'm assuming that you are currently using the stock intel cooling. If thats the case, upgrading the CPU cooling would be one route to go down. This Noctua or this thermalright, are brilliant coolers.

Couple it with a reasonable overclock (3.0-3.2GHz) and you have some nice extra performance for not too much money.
