Hi

not sure if this is right place to discuss this. Recently spent a bomb on Q6600, Asus Maximus mobo, HD 2900 pro graphics cards, antec 800w power supply, 4gb Geil Ram and when I try to bench test it the Futuremark 06 which came with the mobo and I tried to use it from a download just will not work.

Anyhelp accepted or if you can redirect me to the right place..

Thanks

I just want to see what the marks are now I have upgraded.

Futuremark 06

Hi

the programm will not run at all. Strange thing is I have a similar pc apart from the graphics cards which are 1900 series and on that pc it works. Drivers for my HD 2900 pro are the most recent 7.11

Confused I am:confused:

For the HD2900 Series cards you need to rename a .dll file in the system folder,

'Go to C:\Windows\system32\Futuremark\MSC\ and rename direcpll.dll'

It is 3DMark? Hope that helps.

Hi

went to the file you mentioned and it does have that diredll.dll extension already there? Anything else that might help?

Thanks

Jorel

There was a patch released in October for 3DMark06 which fixed issues such as what you're having. Check on Futuremark's website for it.

Hi

thanks for all repiles I have found the patch. If predator reads this I see we use the same graphics cards maybe you could drope me an email or leave a thread on here to discuss the OC of these cards...

Cheers

Hello mate

yeah what do you need to know?

Becuase I run Crossfire, I actually modded the BIOS on both cards from 600Mhz to 850Mhz. I tweaked up the volts from 1.15 to 1.25 and they're stable as anything. So I'm going to possibly try getting them to 875 or even 900.

I used an editor called QuantumForce2900BiosEditor.exe which is extremely easy to use.

Please note though that both my cards are water cooled, hence the high clocks. When they were on air, they were clocked to 750Mhz and sometimes maxed out at 90deg. However now they reach 45 ish.

I've just posted some pics of the new build here

Hi Predator

nice very nice rig and as your are water cooling your figures make sense now.

I am going to wait and see if the old man Clause brings me anything for xmas.

One thing though where do you get all your kit from or is asking not allowed on the forums?

Have a good holiday and I will get back to you after the festive season...

Regards

Jorel:)
