FX-6300 and drops

Hi guys, so i have pretty decent system which should(i guess?) run cs:go with at least 200fps. I used to have this around this amount of fps, but like a week ago it suddenly went down. now max is 200 when i literally watch to the wall. Sometimes it drops to 90, but usually it stays at around ~100fps.

AMD FX 6300
GTX 750 Ti
8gb of ram

I found out that since the player model update the game became more CPU intensive and AMD single core performance doesn't play nice with CS.

Would the oc'ing this cpu(fx-6300) would fix this problem slightly? maybe someone tried it already?

I'd say OCing would help - are you just running at stock? all your drivers up to date?

where on the maps do you get the drops. CS you want highest frames you can....as tends to let you get the drop on your enemies.

Assuming you've got a high refresh rate monitor (120 Hz +) then yep go ahead and try overclocking and compare. If FPS goes up, sorted.

i do have 144hz monitor. i did bought new cooler today. cm evo 212, i overclocked slightly but it doesnt seem it helped. it became more stable, but same, less than 150. im confused.

obviously in the open places. in more close close locations i get slightly. i still cant believe, that this update ****ed up this so bad.

Its cs:go they want the most highest refresh rate /fps, so they can get a better reaction time and get the first shot off.
Im pretty sure theres still players using old crts just for the extra edge/reaction time.

I've got the same card in my system at the moment, i'll see if the CPU makes much of a difference. Assuming you are at 1080p with max settings?

118.8 on title screen. Fluctuates from 165 - 200fps in game.

Better GFX card dude :p

My god that game is so bad!

csgo has updates which sometimes mess fps up.

what you have is decent performance anyway.dont get so hung up on fps though.its not everything.

Sounds an amazing way to game, have fun with the rest of the CS crew in the thread and stop worrying about having less than 70000 fps

This, it makes no sense to play a game at such **** settings for a extra 0.0000005 frame time reduction and the eye cancer caused from crts and bad graphics.

CS go players seem to think it's a massive difference and makes a huge impact but the majority of them think this just because some "pro" player said so.

I know a guy who had a 1440p monitor and played at 1024x768 because a pro player told him it was more accurate..... People are idiots :(

i play on 1024x768 blackbars, everything on very low :D

In that case you probably are very CPU (not GPU) limited, so much so you could probably increase the graphics settings and improve performance, or at least keep it the same.

Also I'd strongly recommend a 16:9 resolution, probably the native res of the monitor. Anything else messes with your FOV in CS:GO. Here's a good illustration (first bit):

can you explain to me, why would you play on maxed out settings? it gives you only disadvantages against others. it doesnt make any sense
