I'm attempting to run my cpu at a constant overclock by upping the multi to 13 thus running the system at 2600MHz speed akin to the fx55. I've been able to do this in the past though it never was particularly stable for lengthy periods of time and I'm posting here in the hope that some of you overclocking enthusiasts can give me some advice.
What I've been doing is upping the multi from the default 12 to 13 as mentioned above then testing with volts from 1.5 upwards. 1.5 is obviously too low and the computer will hang/reboot, I then up the volts one step at a time and with each step the cpu has more stability (runs through more of 3dmark before dropping to the desktop). My problem is once I hit 1.575 my system refuses to boot and I have to reset the bios manually via the jumper on the board itself. This is the closest my mobo has to the 1.535 stock cpu volts the fx55 has I believe.
System details in sig, psu Enermax Noisetaker ATX 12V Ver. 2.0 470W.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
