like the ENB mods people use on skyrim accept in in an application form and you can play with the settings on the fly although it doesnt seem to work if the game isnt in fullscreen mode so you have to keep alt tabing to change settings.

i made a quick animated gif of shift 2 to give you an idea.

the first 3 frames are just sharpening effects stare at the cars livery and u can see it bring out the details
most the other frames are faffing around with sepia
i didnt get any fps hit at all btw no matter how strong i made the effects

It gets you banned in BF3 - sometimes by punkbuster - sometimes by server admins.
 
Well we have fxaa in nvidia drivers as default now so no need for other fxaa tools. Enb was more for adding in effects of dx that wasnt on or wasnt done right in games. Games are fine without tbh.
 
That is true but the topic title makes it sound like your post was mainly about the fxaa feature.

it basicly an an application for creating shader files that would usually be packaged with an enb mod.


i cant help that the guy called it "fxaa tool" rather than "custom shader tool"
 
They built fxaa and smaa settings into Arma 2, I use fxaa in the game configs, when set correctly it gives the same effect as aa on very high in arma, when in fact the aa is on low, plus there is virtually no performance hit, which means you can get better frame rates from the game..

Its a neat app, I was using it in Skyrim a lot until I found a custom ENB that made Skyrim look even better. But yea I like the sliders and stuff ...although even that has come to ENB now.
 
As HR4 mentioned above it's great for Arma 2, it really sharpens the picture and gets rid of all the jaggies. I think one of the best things about it though is the ability to control colour tone and saturation, It's made Arma 2 so much better for me.
