Looks like a spiritual successor to G-Police (loved that)

There's a demo available too.

That looks glorious! Like yourself I loved playing G-Police and the concept of that in VR sounds amazing.

Have you tried the demo yet?

is this an evolution of an old demo which was released around 10 years ago where you just flew around a city block. technically incredible for the time and I so wanted a game made out of it.

That's disappointing. Has anyone tried it in VR?
To be fair, the demo was out before the dev implemented VR, it would be nice to see it updated though.

No, it's influenced by it, heavily from the little I played. Demo was Aircar by the way.

Apparently only Gamepad supported so far. Not enough buttons on touch style controllers to support all the functions according to the developer.
HOTAS support would be nice.

I tried the demo non-VR last night with my T.1600m setup and found some of configuration options lacking. The thottle assumes a 50% detent with no ability to have whole range with a directional change button (like Elite Dangerous. Also trying use the throttle mouse hat for strafing+up/down thrust wouldn't work as it only registered the X+Y axis in one direction. The yaw/pitch sensitivity is way to high and I couldn't reduce it, making control very difficult, let alone fine adjustments which the stick doesn't do that well. I may be missing something, so will have another play later if I can. I love the concept and the atmosphere, the sound track is perfect for the theme.

One of the reviews on Steam said the performance was really bad in VR? Can anyone provide any feedback how it runs in VR on their GPU/Headset?

I've only given it a quick test but performance is rough! 5090, Dream Air native res, medium in game settings. Can't get anywhere near 72FPS for a stable 72Hz. Even using DLSS at performance. I don't think it's entirely GPU limited but I need to do some proper thorough testing if I can be bothered, but hey it's a UE5 engine game, and they all run terribly in VR.

Yeah, that's what worried me as one of the reviews said they were running it on an RTX 5090 and struggling to get stable 60/70fps frame rate in the headset which doesn't bode well for anyone on lesser hardware!
