Just got hold of this from OcUK - it would seem it was one of their last pairs as it's not longer stocked.

Anyway my motherboard - DFI RDX 200 seems to have problems with one of the sticks - i can use the other one with no problems but the other causes the mobo to halt on ram check when turned on and bleeps endlessly if i leave it :/

Now i have tried every of the 4 dimms to ensure it's not the dimm that was duff but it seems its that stick which has problems ... I also tried it in my old xp1800 pc and it booted with no problems however it only registered as 512mb it would appear - which is a tad

Any ideas as to whether i should be doing anythin else to rule out dudd ram or am i looking at an RMA ?

Cheers :)

Oh well - any ideas as to what would happen though as it's no longer stocked by OcUK - i would assume something of equal value correct ?

In which case it would have to be (from my checks) something like : -

Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS3 (MY-039-CS)

for £159.99 (£187.99 Incl VAT)

As that was pretty much what I paid for the G Skill Kit :o

Shame they ain't showing any of the 2Gb DDR kits, the ZX and HZ were good stuff. :( I love my HZ kit!! I've had Corsair before and found them to be good. :)

I just RMA'd my PC2 6400 NR with G-Skill. I don't think that there was anything particularly wrong with it - just that it wasn't stable with my DS3.

They have apparently replaced it with some NQ (same timings etc. but rated at 1.8 - 2.0v) and it is on the way to me now - no questions asked.

The process is not too fast as you have to send the RAM to the Netherlands but it's all pretty painless and it only cost me between 3 and 4 pounds for postage. It could cost you more though, depending on insurance etc.

I'm impressed.

How did you send the ram ? Registered post ?

In it's packaging that it came from the etailer from ? Within a padded envelope ?

Will fill out the RMA form and send them stuff off tomoz if thats all I have to do.

I put the RAM in it's original plastic packing and then put that into an old oem hard drive box (with foam inserts). I just taped it up and stuck an address label on it (self-printed).

Went to the Post Office and said "How much love?" to the nice lady. Luckily she knew I was talking about the parcel and she said it was 3 pounds something (I think she was talking about the parcel  ). Anyway, I just paid it and walked away. It wasn't 'til later that I actually thought about insurance etc. but it was too late then. In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have taken the risk of sending it unregistered etc. but I seem to have gotten away with it.

Good luck with yours.
