g.skill blue vs red

Whats the difference between the blue and the red G.Skill dual channel RAM kits?

Is it down to indicating the timings? (this is the dual channel 2x4GB kits currently on T.W.O)

Blue:
CAS Latency: 8-8-8-24 2N
Red:
CAS Latency: 9-9-9-24 2N

Personally, I have had very bad experience with G-SKILL RAM. The first two pairs i recieved were DOA and I had to RMA them, one of the sticks was DOA in the third pair, so I just gave up and got a refund, and used it on some XMS3s. Work like a dream.

So what is the best one do you want the higher timing or the lower.

Very good memory, It will run with less volts and faster timings so go with the cheapest

Mine are blue 1866 Mhz stuff and they haven't missed a beat

i have the blue 2133mhz in my sandy bridge setup and they work fnastic, either at 2133 with slack timings or 1600mhz with great tight timings, brilliant ram, they must be to run at that speed with only 1.5volts

infact i put up a review on here i was so pleased with them, score max 7.9 on win7 performance index.

Can anyone tell me if the heat spreaders are high? Or high enough that you can't fit a big aftermarket cooler

They fit under a NH-D14

I have the blue 1.5V 8gb 1600 CL8 kit and so far they do 1866 CL9 so far
