im actually considering this, though 12gb might be a little of an over kill
btw, im using corsair ram in 3 slots, for the other slots can i use another make? or does it have to be corsair? if you get what im saying

As long as you keep the same timings and voltages it is normally fine, it is always recommended to keep the same brand and same part for multiple sticks. :)
