Just a heads up for those of you looking for a G.Skill Falcon 128Gb, I spotted it for a *very* good price earlier on Google.co.uk Almost £90 cheaper than the OCZ Vertex at the moment :)

if you mean the place they were under £250, they are out of stock now and price gone up another 20+ quid but still works out 50 cheaper than the vertex.

I wont be getting mine until wednesday as my father ordered his aswell so they both going to his house and he's away in london till late tuesday night.. rather have the drive today if it's at the post office :( oh well the wait will be worth it lol

I find it a tad strange that although they say it's derived from the Vertex etc, they then don't test it against the Vertex but instead choose to test against the Apex.

Otherwise a very good and balanced review. It's good that GSkill even include a jumper for firmware flashing! Although I should imagine that this drive will also soon be firmware upgradeable without needing the jumper or losing the data on it as the Vertex's now are. Definitely one to consider for anyone looking to get into SSD's.

There is a review showing it to be better than a vertex, but they say at the end that both are pretty much the same performance with the same firmware.

anyway it beats the intel drive in a lot of the tests and its cheaper than both so thats good enough for me
