" G.Skill has updated its memory offer with the release of two more kits, this time from the Pi series which use the previously-introduced heatspreaders with the same 'name.' Available 4 (2GB x 2) and 8GB (2GB x 4) configurations, the new DDR2 memory is certified to work at 1100 MHz with 5-5-5-15 latencies. Utilizing 8-layer PCBs, the new DDR2 modules also require just 1.8 or 1.9 Volts to work.

Codenamed F2-8800CL5D-4GBPI and F2-8800CL5Q-8GBPI, the new 4 and 8GB Pi series kits are both backed by a lifetime warranty. "

If it really only needs 1.8v that's fantastic, and i'll definitely get some :) I can't get any more than 2.1v to the memory on my mobo and 2 of the slots are damaged, and i really want 4GB.

I hope they get it. I haven't been able to spot it myself anywhere else. I need to check to see if it is on the P5Q QVL list before considering it further.

I was looking at the F2-8000CL5D-4GBPI and F2-8500CL5D-4GBPI kits, but apparently they use the same chips as F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ and F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK kits, but with the fancy heatspeaders...

Anyone tried this RAM yet?

I have an IP35 Pro and having nightmaree with Corsair Dominator (4x1GB) so looking at swapping for 2x2GB sticks and want to avoid Corsair and I heard OCZ has some issues with that board too.....

Cheers
