G Skill RMA

I just sent some DDR2 back to them yesterday funnily enough. Last time I RMA'd the set previously it took about 6 days from me posting via royal mail international signed for to getting it back from Taiwan (via DHL if I remember rightly)

That's good to know, thing is I can't find any packaging for the sticks. Are they strict about packaging?

What do you think I should package them in?

Well I had kept the retail packaging so I've no idea if they're sticklers over that or not.

Just make sure whatever you send them in is fairly firm, i.e. a cardboard sleeve (this time I've used a cardboard sleeve that Play.com uses for sending DVDs).

Just thought I'd post an update littledave. Got my replacement Ram back today from G.Skill. Sent on the 3rd, so 9 postage days this time (bit longer than before but it's december after all so not bad really seeing as it was sent from Taiwan and it's nearly Xmas!)

i've also just had my ram back. about 10 days full trip which was way better than last time which took closer to a month

If you have a matched pair and only one is faulty, do you need to send both back or just the offending stick?

hi,
i have some ddr2 ram which has gone belly up. i bought it second hand from the mm and dont have a receipt. can i still send it back?

just sent some off today, no hope for before crimbo so i ordered some others i actually wanted and will sell the rma ones on after i get em back. The forum staff seem okay so im hoping the service on the rma will be good aswell with regards to timescale

I've turned round two RMAs with G.Skill in the Netherlands and it's about 3 weeks, but I generally get very good stuff back. Certainly better than I sent away.
