G.Skill with Opteron... ZX or HZ ?

I'm gonna go down the ZH route personally. On comparing SuperPi charts with what each can do, the ZH comes off if you can get the high FSB. The ZH also allow for better timings at higher FSB. It also sports a black spreader compared to a poofy cyan/blue. :D

ZH - 9 x 295 1:1, 295 MHz, 2.5-4-4-8 2.6V - 31.97 s
ZX - 9 x 272 1:1, 272 MHz 3-4-4-8 2.8V - 34.80 s

EDIT:
Note: These results came from a reputable site using the same workbench system.

Those are the HS and HZ and not the ZX ;).

However, they look like review samples and you will NOT get sticks anywhere near this quality. No retail stick will hit 290+ at CAS 2.5 - this is almost 512MB stick territory and the 1GB sticks cannot perform this well due to densities etc.

Of course the SuperPi time will be better. The CPU is running 200MHz quicker.

oh yeah oops didnt read that proply (schoolboy error), i knew i should have kept my mouth shut! :o

Looking at that tho hopefully when my hz arrives i'll be able to run 1:1 @ 280mhz :D hopefully...

Has anyone considered the 2gb PC4000 Team Extreem cl2.5/4/4/8 kit??
Thinking of getting some of this stuff :)

I've got an opportunity to sell me 2g generic memory and get some decent 2 x 1g, say, the G Skill Hz or ZX, BUT, after reading this thread, I'm STILL not sure which one to go for, 3200 or 4000! Both have attributes that seem to cancel each other out although its looking like the ZX 3200 providing they'll do 2-3-2-5-1t @ 217mhz, or thereabouts, then I'll be happy. Thats the highest (2.6ghz) that me 3700 will do, and with the 166 divider, the rams gonna be at 217mhz. Does the ZX clock higher with slacker timings btw?

My ZX Kit wouldnt do 205 mhz @ 2-3-2-5 / 1:1 with different voltages. My HZ could do 270mhz@ stock no errors in memtest but now they wont do 250mhz@ stock 2.6V

Was running 3-3-3-8 @240mhz but after a BSOD i retested with memtest @stock and they failed within a min or 2.

After putting my Geil value back in iu have now experienced another BSOD, but i am running them with the same settings as what i was before i got the HZ. 240/166 divider @2.8V

Cant see what the error was though. Cant find it in event viewer though?

Edit: Should My page file be in use when running memtest? Dont know if im being paranoid but was on about 1.95GB
