The same applies for tn too, at least with the panels I have tried it on, not used or seen a rog swift. I only drop the gamma from 1 to 0.95 in AMD ccc
Yup every IPS screen has glow, however, a lot of the IPS screens I have seen/used aren't bad at all, only whenever I view any extremely dark backgrounds from a wide angle does it become really obvious, it is no different to tn panels from my experience. Now my first 2 lg 29um65 were awful for IPS glow and bleed but due to the wideness, I think this is where IPS glow will be a far more common problem.
I would say the main difference worth worrying about when it comes to tn VS IPS is motion clarity, IPS is very poor compared to 144hz gaming screens
Until oled 4k for no more than £2k arrives, I'll be using my monitor for films etc.
You still get black bars with 16.9 TVs though! I hate black bars, such a waste of screen space! But with oled, you won't even notice the black bars
