Black depth is generally better on IPS panels (although there is very little difference and not worth worrying about) as well as the contrast ratio.
IPS glow can be a problem but only in these conditions:
- play dark content in a dark room
or/and
- you have a stupidly high brightness
or/and
- you view the screen from an angle
With LED bias lighting/decently lit environment, IPS glow should not be a problem for anyone that uses the recommended brightness of 120 nits or less and views the panel head on.
