I think the card overclocks better than average seeing some scores but coil whines pretty bad even when on stock settings.

Not sure whether to try another card but I worry about getting one the same or worse. Some people say they have no coil whine at all.


Any ideas?

only time i get coil whine on my g1 is exiting heaven, not when its running or in game. Very strange !

No coil whine on mine but I only have mine at 1440Mhz max.

When you exit heaven the fps can reach around 8000 so most cards will show some kind of whine with that high frame rate. Mine produces a fairly loud buzzing noise even when on stock clocks.
