Basically i'm buying this board

http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4482#sp

It basically says about the DDR memory

Support for DDR3 3000(O.C.) / 2933(O.C.) / 2800(O.C.) / 2666(O.C.) / 2600(O.C.) / 2500(O.C.) / 2400(O.C.) / 2200(O.C.) / 2133(O.C.) / 2000(O.C.) / 1866(O.C.) / 1800(O.C.) / 1600 / 1333 MHz

Anything above 1600mhz says O.C, i presume thats overclocked.

I plan to use 2 x 4GB sticks, does anything over 1600mhz need to be overclocked in the bios, its just i aint familiar with any type of overclocking as ive always run stock systems. Whats best to do, as an example would their be much noticeable difference between 1600mhz and 2133mhz ?

Its just i could use these

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-039-AR

or these

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-044-AR&tool=3

I just chose them as they seem to go with the mobo colour scheme, not familiar with Avexir as a make.

RAM has what are called XMP profiles these days.

This is a small chip on the RAM containing all the data the board needs to set up the correct speed for you.

So for those Avexir 2133MHz kit all you have to do is enter the BIOS, go to the memory section, load the XMP profile (there maybe two, one at the rated speed of 2133MHz and one a bit lower say at 1866MHz) save and exit and it should all be done for you.
