i just picked up a g15 off the MM and wondering what drivers to use.

i got the latest ones off the logitech site but the option to scroll through the applets does not work when i press the button on the lcd, it does work however when its set to select an applet instead, anyone else get this?

The v3.03 software that thread refer's to might be the GamePanel Software (Legacy) thats the other option available on the logitech downloads page (underneath the Logitech Gaming Software (Current) option)

The GamePanel Software (Legacy) current version is 3.06 , probably just been updated since that other forum post.

yeah thats what i got and it works now cheers :)

any tips for cleaning sticky keys? i got it off the MM and it feels like it's had a drink of pop :(

Glad to hear your up and running.

Keyboards are never the easiest things to clean, but it depends on how the G15 is constructed.

I have afew Logitech wireless keyboards (which are alittle old) but both have the same type of keys and are basically a membrane keyboard.

Its relitavly easy too use a small flat blade screwdriver too remove the keytops and give the keyboard a good clean once in a while , does mean you have too remeber the order the keytops go back in , but as long as you dont damage the membrane it wont hurt the keyboard at all. Probably best to do it with the keyboard unplugged too ;)

However if the G15 isnt constructed like these and you try it and break your keyboard , I cant be held responsible, its just a suggestion ;)

If it has had a pop spill and its got under the membrane, then that would be a much bigger job of taking the keyboard to pieces and carefully cleaning the contacts. Usually the membrane isnt accessable just by removing the keytops. But if that had happened I would have expected keys just not too work at all and cleaning might not help and most pop is fairly corrosive to electrical goods.

*EDIT*
Here's a site explaning probably in more detail (scroll to the bottom of the page)

i'll bear that in mind cupra ;)

ms2010 it looks like i'll have to strip it down but it's something i'd rather not do as i know my putting back together skills are not as good as my taking apart skills :D

hehe , always end up with afew spare screws after reassembly :p

Seriously though , you could try some Anti-static foam cleaner and some cotton buds around the button's 1st.

Supprising how much crap a cotton bud can find, although you wont get down the edges of smaller buttons, some of the cleaning fluid will which could ease sticky keys without dis-assemble.
Obviously the best way to make sure its clean is take it apart , but that could be an option if it really bothers you enough but you dont want too strip it down too its bare board ;)

yeah i was going to try that, been using a bit of card to scrape what i can out of the gaps and i was thinking of alcohol or something to moisten it up a bit.

hehe

Just how dirty is this keyboard? :p

I wouldn't use alcohol, some of the fluid is going to be where you wont be able too get at it to clean it out, better too use something more suited to the job like the anti-static foam cleaner. Not to mention you never know if the plastics of the keyboard will react funny to alcohol.

I'm sure someone would pipe up and say its better to drink alcohol anyway :p

it's pretty clean except for a few sticky keys lol,

i was thinking alcohol as it evapourates but yeah maybe it will react with the plastic, im not sure :D
