G25

How do people use them? Is it a permanent feature in your desks? Do you have a separate desk for it, or do you remove it after each gaming session?

Mine will be permanent soon.. I'm installing a 3 meter wide desk in my room so i can have gaming at one end and (music gear, keyboards mixers) at the other. :p

SOunds awesome :) it;s one downside to them, I find it takes a while to get it mounted on my desk, get everything positioned just right, play for a few hours then have to take it all off :(

I have my pedals and gear shifter unit permamently in place/attached, the wheel I take off and put on as needed, takes just a few seconds to take off and say 20-30seconds to put on and make sure it's nice and secure :)

I dismount it from my desk and just sit out of the way on my desk.
Not enough room on my desk to have it set up all the time.
Ideally I'll have a separate desk for it all at some point. :)

I've had one for about a year now and its the only wheel that I have used for that long! Most wheels you get out and play with it for 2-3weeks then chuck it back in the box for a few months until you can be bothered to get it out again.

I love drifting on Live For Speed with it :D

I find it fairly easy to setup, I can get it on my desk and all ready within 15 seconds :) I have it just to the left of me on a small unit and then I just drag it on and clamp it on then I'm good to go!

Thanks for the info

BAN HIM!

I have the DFP and I'm very happy with it though it hardly gets used since Left4Dead came out.

Live for Speed is a fantastic experience with a decent wheel though. Couldn't quite bring myself to shell out for the G25, as cool as it looks.

You talking about your lass?.............. You are talking about your G25 steering wheel here aint ya? lol

G25 is great, spent hours on Pikes Peak and Nurburg in rFactor. I find Grid enjoyable as well but far from a sim - great replays.

Even my brother in law who is not really a gamer at all loved it, could not believe the feed back you get.

Not got a lass to attach to a desk! :p:confused: lol

The more I drive on GTREvo the more I love it, the force feedback is such a step up from GTR2.

sold my g25. just couldn't be bothered to set it up everytime i wanted to race. also turning the wheel and stuff was far too much effort. I much prefer just picking up my 360 pad. call me lazy

Ive had one ages, love it to bits, very proud to own one. My friends are amazed.

Edit: I play Live for speed.
I drilled two holes in my desk and then put two bolts through it into the screw holes.
This technique fixes it on so it cannot move about!
You soon get used to having two unsightly holes in your desk.

Edit2: I managed to snap one up for about £125, I think it was on a this week only offer at the time. Doubt you will catch one for that price now
