g27 upgrade from a DFGT worth it???

i have a logitech driving force gt wheel atm, im getting back into my racing games now so i fancy something new.

will the g27 be a worthy upgrade from the driving force gt???
 
depends, do you drive in a manual config or auto? i find the dfgt to be fine for auto, but if i was going to get one for manual, id be going for the upgrade due to the seperate gear shifter
 
insidesimracing did a review on some 3rd party add on padles u can get for dfgt :)

I think the g25/27 pedals are much better, from what i remmber of reviews
 
As a owner of a g25 i can highly recommend it the wheel and pedals are superb. Havent used your wheel bit i came from a ms sidewinder wheel about 4 years ago the difference was night and day. I loved my old wheel it was very good. But the pedals on the g25 was worth the cash alone the shifter and wheel was just a bonus.

the pedals on the DFGT feel abit cheap and i wanted the flappy paddles and shifter with clutch, the DFGT has buttons to change gear on the back and sometimes its a struggle to press them when cornering.

there the main 2 reasons plus i prefer the leather to the plastic on the DFGT...
 
just spent a bit of monies upgrading from my G25.

Th8 rs shifter, clubsport pedals(arriving tomorrow :D) and I will buy the clubsport wheel when they get around to releasing it :/

My G25 lasted me 5 years and hopefully my new gear will last me even longer.

The G27 is an excellent bundle for the price.
 
G27 is a lot better, especially the pedals. The quality of the feel is also better, but the DFGT punches above it's weight in that respect, even with only one ffb motor.

I made the same transition.
 
the only thing putting me off the DFGT the pedals, i know you can upgrade them but if you do that then may as well get the better wheel
 
Just managed to bag me a G27 Direct from Logitech for £124.50p! Is going to replace my 8 year old Formula Force GP wheel that has served me well :)

Am looking forward to replaying all my driving games again and grabbing rfactor 2 beta :)
 
I had an issue with a G15 keyboard that I purchased in 2005 (a few keys stopped working) and spoke to them on the off chance that I could get it fixed in 2010. The keyboard was too old so they couldn't help me, but the guy gave me a reference number and said that I could have a 50% discount on a future purchase.
I called up a couple of days ago and gave the reference and was given my 50% discount code.

£170 is still a great price, it used to be a lot more than that. £170 was the cheapest I saw the wheel for when shopping around. To be honest, I was going to get the DFGT but remembered I might have a discount code with Logitech so I just tried my luck.
 
yeah it's a no brainer to get the g27 over the DFGT for the price you got it for.

still the DFGT is a great wheel for the money...
 
Depends how serious you are about racing games. DFGT is great for the occasional play but the G27 is definately recommended if you race regularly, it's a great bit of kit.

the DFGT has been awesome for the 6 months ive had it but im starting to get more into the sims aswell like rfactor 2 and cars so i thought the g27 would do me better.

2 things i dont like about the DFGT is the pedals and the shifter buttons on the back...
