Hello,

So as the title suggests I've bought the g403 (wireless) and g900 to compare and see which wireless mouse I prefer.

I'm coming from the g303 so I suppose this tells you I prefer smaller mice. My grip is claw grip and my hand length is 19cm, width 10cm.

I won't repeat what you can read / watch elsewhere (RocketJumpNinja), but my own limited impressions are:

- they weigh virtually the same: g403 106g (without the additional 10g in box) vs g900 108g - at least on my scales

- they feel completely different, which you'd expect I guess with one being suited for right handers, and one being ambidextrous. The g403 hump slots into my palm, and as it's shorter it suits my grip style. The g900 is longer with less of a hump and the buttons are higher up, so it definitely feels more suited to palm grips. I struggled with claw grip. Here's a photo to try and show the difference in length (lined up as much as I could):

- comparing it to my Razer DeathAdder, the g900 is actually longer! If I did want to go with a palm grip, and I had to pick over the DeathAdder and g900, I think I'd pick the DeathAdder due to the hump and the curved buttons - but maybe that's because I'm more used to the DA.

- the scroll wheel on the g900 feels like it requires noticeably more effort, whereas the g403 feels pretty much like the g303, maybe slightly less notchy.

- the mouse clicks and scroll wheel on the g900 are noticeable louder. The g403 is similar again to the g303 (quiet).

- there was no sound when shaking the g403 (unlike my g303), however when shaking the g900 you could hear the scroll wheel rattling away; which is fair enough given you can use it for side scrolling.

- I felt the g403 was slightly smoother and seemed to glide with less effort

- finally, wireless with no cable tugging / catching is brilliant!

- g403 wins it easy for me

I've not tried a G403 but my biggest issue with the G900 is in their attempt to make it work for lefties too they have made a mouse that's far less comfortable than I expected given it's exorbitant price tag.

My G403 wheel rattles a little when shaken. They are not entirely consistent, so I wouldn't put too much stock on that apsect. I think they have re-designed the whel a little to fix that rattle.

Ergonomically, it's OK. I would still prefer a more ambidextrous / WMO design (probably would like the G900 better, but I value weight as well). But hey, it's all preferences.

Good mice IME, the tracking, buttons, textures and build quality are top tier.

Purchased both mice and returned the g403.

The g900 certainly took the most amount of time for my hand to adjust to but I guess the g403 whilst having a better sensor was just to similar to my castor mionix and g400s

I have the G900 but my hand is aching a little bit after using it for rainbow six siege and overwatch for the past 3-4 days, and it feels a little bit narrow compared to my corsair M45 and feels like my hand will slip off. Is this normal and will it be fine once i get used to it or should i invest in a larger mouse?. I also was a gamepad gamer before this but the aches only started after using the g900 and i didnt notice it when playing with the corsair M45 for a similar amount of time

I had a similar problem with the G900, I put the aches down to a mix of the size of the mouse and that it's ambidextrous so there's really nowhere for your palm to rest comfortably.

I gave it a couple of weeks then consigned the mouse to a drawer with all the other mice I bought and didn't get on with :(

Which mouse are you using now?

I've also used both and had a similar experience, although the wheel on my G403 rattles. I don't mind it since I don't see any actual reason to pick up a mouse and shake it :s

Did your wrist problems go away? cant decide whether to stick with this mouse or replace it with something else.

Sorry, was replying to the OP. I didn't have any wrist issues with either of these mice. I used to get a lot of tendon pain when using any mouse but I found that it depended more on the way that I gripped the mouse than the mouse itself.
