G5 NVIDIA RTX 3060, 16GB, 15.6" 240Hz, i5-10500H Gaming Laptop

Just wondering as saw a review on here drop this morning, but has anyone on here got there's yet?

Have this on pre-order and planned to use it as a coding/design/blender/gaming station for the lounge whilst the girlfriend is watching her crap soaps. Watching the early videos on Youtube (Ricks Tech) and he's commented a few times how damn loud the fans are. I know its a gaming laptop so its not going to be whisper quiet - but is this even going to be usable in the lounge without me being asked to leave? Think the review mentioned the performance mode rams are set too high by gigabyte, but still worried that wont be enough.

All gaming laptops are crazy loud.

It's obvious why too. Small fans. Small heatsinks.

Need to extract heat somehow and fans are like old school alarms.

The small fan on my CCTV NVR can be heard from downstairs and it's upstairs in a bedroom.

Small fans are loud and annoying. Either that or they don't spin fast enough to be effective.

You could mess about with the fan curve but then your laptop will run hot and likley die quicker than it normally would. Which isn't a problem if your only keeping it for 3 years. But if you plan on keeping it a while it will likely kill the motherboard or something inevitably.

So my suggestion is buy a top end laptop cooling pad or stand. Which has a massive fan directly underneath the laptop blowing cold air onto it.
