G5 Server

I have been given a G5 Server.

Not had chance to look at it properly yet.

If it works, would any desktop versions of OSX run on it and if so whats the latest one that would? Just wondering if it is worth me trying to put it in a case and using it as a desktop

not entirely sure about Xserves, but if it's a G5 model the latest OS it will run is Leopard 10.5, snow leopard only works on intel architecture, it's prolly not worth your time or money trying to put it in a desktop case, it wouldnt be a straight swap thats for sure.

if you want a apple based system, sell the Xserve and you should get easily enough money for a powermac G5 or if your very lucky an early early model intel based system
