Does anyone know how to make these buttons blank? Razer Deathadder buttons would be blank, and you would assign what you want to them. Logitech's SetPoint doesn't give you that option, you either set them as one of the presents or you don't get to use them at all.

Example: The two side buttons are set to forward and back. When I set them to something else (push to talk) it will forward/back my webpage along with allowing me to talk in mumble. The options "unassigned" and "no nothing" are exactly the same, they just disable the button completely and it won't work in mumble.

Halp? :(

There should be a keypress option as well, although it may e called something different. Ive used setpoint to change the button loads of times to r, for games that are so stupid to prevent me from setting a side button to reload. Three are also third party programs that allow mouse button remaps.

That's pretty crap imo. I shouldn't have to map a key on my keyboard to my mouse just to make it work the way it should work. :(

You might be able to map them to multiple key presses though, such as Shift+Alt+F12 so it doesnt rob you of a standard key. I can't remember if setpoint allows it though.

I'd imagine the restriction is more to do with the way that keyboards and mice interact with windows. I mean you can't go creating commands that don't already exist so Logitech make use of ones that exist in standard drivers so you don't need to install their software just to use the mouse for everyday tasks.

When you create your own mouse hardware you can of course make proprietary hardware calls through your own software to call whatever function you want. Until then you'll just have to make do with whatever Logitech et al provide for you. Just saying.

As for Mumble push to talk get yourself a USB foot switch off eBay, they are totally awesome. So much easier and gives better control than holding down mouse5 to speak to people.
