Got myself a Logitech G7 and it worked fine for about 10 months.

Then is started to all go wrong Getting issues with the mouse hanging for 10 minutes with no movement, (Charger Still Charges) then my keyboard lockups and then finally computer crashes. Sound still continues as normal. This generally only happens during games

I've tried all sorts
Latest USB drivers
Latest Setpoint drivers
Different USB ports
Disconnected the charger and just used the wireless adapter
Switched from boost to normal mode
Formatted PC

Borrowed a friends G7 same problem, tried a MX1000 no problems
Contacted Logitech support they told me that it was a issue with my 64bit processor upon telling them i'd had it 10months with no issues they told me i was lucky.

PC spec
AMD Athlong 64bit 3400+
Asus K8V SE Deluxe
X800 Pro

Any suggestions on a solution to my problem is very much appreciated.

the problem is the mouse, and i have a similar problem with it locking up.

you'll need to sort out RMA'ing at as do it i'd say but i havnt contacted them yet.

google for something like logitech G7 problem and you'll find similar stories

You can tell the Logitech boys they are talking out their rectums, I've got exactly the same motherboard and CPU as you although with a 6800gt instead and admittedly I have only been using the G7 with this PC for about 3 months but there are no problems that I could attribute to the G7.

Is there anything that you have installed or changed recently? That is all I can think of that would suddenly cause the mouse to stop working properly other than the mouse itself failing of course.

//edit oh and welcome to the forums. :)

Well i've borrowed my friends mouse exactly the same problem so i don't think its the mouse. Oh and I know that logitech are talking out of their rectums just posted it to let ppl know how helpful they were.

And thanks for the welcome

As i said formatted to a clean install only installed drivers and essentials to test it same problem, Gonna try running it with no setpoitn software see if that works thanks for the idea.

well im gonna try running it with setpoint as i havnt bothered with it yet as its only played up the last month outta the 3/4 i have had it.

people had rma's them for the locking up problem and logitech comfirmed them faulty and replaced so im sticking with the mouse being the problem

just thought i'd ask altho i doubt you'll see.

did you try using the connection reset thing that comes with setpoint, i have just used it and no probs in last 10 mins.....
