G98 - December!?!

The official name for G98 will be the GeForce 8400GS, the sources revealed.

No that'll be here next year, and as long as they can ride on the new GTS and the GT, with falling prices soon, they have no real reason to bring it out.

You get ripped off with the evga prices anyway, better just selling your card seperately and buying the card at a good price somewhere else.

If within 90days a newer card is released, you can upgrade by paying the difference to what you paind for the previous card

Havent got a clue, im assuming you pay EVGA and send your card to them, in return a shiney card comes back

Yeah but since 8800GT are overpriced and currently evga website are selling 8800GT for £15 less than retailers are, in this case it might work out well.

If the 8800GTS comes out at inflated retailer price but are the proper rrp with evga and since they charge you the difference between the rrp of the gts and what you paid for your GT, it might be the case that you only have £30-£50 to pay for a step up - fair cheaper than selling your GT (they will have goner down to their proper price by then) and paying an inflated price for the new GTS.

People who recently bought a 8800GTS 320Mb recently won with the step up program as well. For the cost of shipping they were allowed to swap their GTS for a GT since the GT had a rrp less than what they paid for a 8800GTS 320MB.

This is probably the only two occasions where the evga step up program was worth it.

You pay EVGA and post them your card and they send you your new one.

Only downside it's from Germany and takes approx a week.

No computer for a week
