GA-P35C-DS3R vs GA-EP43-DS3L

That's a useful table, thanks for that. The OcUK spec says PCI-E 2.0, but there's no mention of it on the Intel site. I am confused. :confused:

Manufacturers take the **** when it comes to the price difference between models these days.
 
The difference is that it the P43 comes with 1 x16 PCI-E 2.0 slot, while P45 offers two slots (sharing the bandwidth).

If you don't need crossfire then the P43 looks like a really cheap option. I would go for it but I want the best onboard sound which would be the 889A (Blu-Ray protected audio, whenever we get that supported in windows).
 
It will only be 1600mhz without overclocking if the CPU is a 1600mhz FSB one. And there's only one, maybe two, of those in existence.


So no there'll be no difference between them.
