Ah so that's why it was deleted. Trolling about it as usual. But again Valve are avoiding questions about it. I don't understand their logic.

Seriously doubt he would talk about that on Reddit. I really don't know why people keep asking, they aren't going to announce until they are ready.

Gabe knows that this will be something that will come up in an ask me anything situation. I would assume that he's chosen now to do an AMA because he's ready for information of some degree to be released about it, otherwise it's not really an ask me anything if you stipulate what can't be asked.

I didn't suggest he was compelled to answer, but the point was in relation to "why are people asking about Half Life 3?" because it's an ask me anything, so if he's willing to respond on it, he will.

Give the series long enough and people will forget about Half Life, generations of gamers change and the older ones will be the only ones who know about it if this game doesn't see light in the next few years.

You can ask him anything, doesn't mean he's going to or has to answer everything.

Half-life we shall never forget!

One of the very first games I bought was Half-life generations with a free half-life tshirt in the box

.

my 8 year old played all the half-life 2 games and really enjoyed them and I doubt he's the only one.

HL series won't be forgotten about even if it takes another decade to see a new one.
