So I pay £20 a month for my bank account, I get lots of things and looking through, I only really use the phone insurance and breakdown cover.

Looks like protectmybubble will cover the phone as for £5.99 and if I include cover for loss for an extra £1 a month.

Now I'm not sure how much breakdown cover would cost for what I need, but I'm sure it'll work out at less £13 a month.

I don't even know what level of cover my bank (Santander) gives on phones, or if they cover my iPad as well.

Truth be told I don't have any home insurance, so I guess I could add my MacBook, iPad and other items to that policy, and get a separate home insurance policy for everything else. Or even a home insurance policy for it all and just get protectmybubble for my iPhone? Not sure. I also have an SLR, expensive desktop etc etc.

Looking at saving some money really. What do fellow OcUK'ers do?

Barclays Additions Active.

But I am biased as I work for them, so dont take my word for it, but comes with Phone / Gadget / Breakdown and other stuff like travel, wills, extended warranty etc. Usual price is £15 a month. Its proper breakdown - european and home start plus onward travel, unlike some others that offer the roadside only crappy one.

Works out cheaper for me than buying all stuff seperate and I use a lot of the stuff on there.

Got the same additions active account. The breakdown cover on its own covers the costs of the account. It's the only reason I stick with them as I've received nothing but poor service from them so far. I live at the rents currently and am moving about quite regularly so half of my stuff stays here so have no need for home insurance. So may be worth you looking at it dependent on the amount of valuables you have to lose.

What is the website that you go to to register the gadgets?

I looked at protectmybubble about 6 months ago and they seemed to have lots of bad reviews, saying that they were very difficult to actually get a claim out of.

-1 for Protect my bubble

I had a laptop insured with them. Paid every single month for around 14 months and dropped it down the stairs :(

after several phone calls, emails and letters I eventually given up and just ended up buying and fitting a new screen myself.
