Gadget Show Live, anyone else going?

Was it really that bad? Ive been looking forward to it. Going Sunday. Maybe its the weekdays that are weak?

Did you go to any of the photography presentations? Or the gaming zone? Surely there was more to do there than what you say? NVidia Zone must be good? No offers on kit then I take it - like camera lenses or things like that?

I really hope its not a waste of time...
 
Babbler go with an open mind you may very well enjoy it.
No offers at all on kit but maybe with Sunday being the last day they may get rid of some of the display stuff.

Going on saturday all day, 4 of us were bought tickets for xmas off the women in the family.. was looking forward to a lot more than what some of you lads who have been are talking about :(

Arr well, like you say "open mind" and make the most of it ...

did they have any networked PCs there ?
 
Went yesterday and saw the 10:30 show, it was OK but felt a little disjointed, they could really do with hiring a theater choreographer and making it more of a "show" rather than the studio on stage.

The actual trade exhibition was pretty good I thought, I hadn't been before but I imagine if you had been last year it would all be pretty similar. Got a play on Portal 2 with some movement controls, played the new Mortal Kombat and a level on Duke Nukem Forever. Also tried some remote control car with my brain waves.

There was no future tech which was a little disappointing, I was hoping there would be a little bit of tomorrows world. I would probably go back but not for a couple of years.
 
The live show was 'ok'. i took my little bro along or I'd have skipped that. The conventionw as decent however. Managed to try lots of headphones (bought some q-Jays) and I got a 22" samsung 3D monitor for £120!!! Bought two actually :).
 
The highlight for me was playing my gf on the new mortal kombat. Great fun. She beat me as well.

I also played cod4 against Lighters from Team Fnatic in the MSI stand... I lost as you can imagine.
 
ahhh man, i like gadget show a lot. it's the only show that is intriguing enough to make me want to sit there and watch a fulll episode.
how do you find out when the next live event is guys?

It is an annual show, so probably not until April 2012 unfortunately!

Edit: Just checked the dates... 11-15 April 2012 to be precise! :)

I'm taking my son there tomorrow, not really sure what to expect but looking forward to it all the same.
We used to watch the show weekly but have really not bothered much this year, just enter the competition every week!
 
I went yesterday and i really enjoyed it.

What was the reason for Nintendo to pack a few 3DS's in a small hut making a 25 minute queue then to just do it like evreyone else there and just put them on an open floor.

Stupidity

if your into racing sims there is some amazing stuff there
 
Currently sat in the front row waiting for the show to start. Enjoyed it so far - it has way more to offer than a branch of Currys. Loads of fun things to try. The 3d stuff is impressive but I'm loathed to replace a lot of my kit that I spent a lot of money on not that long ago.

Which model? Sounds good!

As for future tech - thought there was a future tech talk - surely thats future tech?
