how do you work that one out ?
They bitched the iphone takes too long to switch on from cold. Who switches their smartphone off completely ??
Because the nexus S won most of the tasks, but the iphone4 was declared the winner because the nexus S "ran out of battery", I've never heard any problems with its battery anywhere else :s
I do enjoy the show tbh, but like top gear these days you have to almost forget its meant to be a technology show.
Also, Why the hell do they have polly in? She can't present, and isn't really that good looking.

I used to love the Gadget Show in the early years, I thought it was really well done.
They used to actually review things, talk about technology and do interesting stuff such as building a hoverboard out of a leaf blower and a home made steadicam.
Now it's just stupid camera movements, fake excitement that no grown adult should do and so called challenges that are just to fill an hour.
Pointless...sad really.

there were 3 tests ?
The first of which the iphone lost because it took a few seconds longer to turn on from cold. But everybody now-a-days just leaves them in sleep
The 2nd test was a test of camera which the iphone won for video, and the nexus S for photos, and the final test was basically a test of the free navigation app on the phones and completely pointless. And don't even get me started on the choice of their mode of transport ...
Test 1, and test 3 were both stupid, even though the Nexus S won 1 and the Iphone won 1.
Ultimately they had already decided which they preferred and just came up with some stupid tests to try to illustrate why they though it was better.
As already said, its an Entertainment Programme, not a factual one anymore, hence the interest in show value for the transport in test 3, rather than giving the same mode of transport to try and make it a fair comparison.

It must be working though as there seems to be more of them on than there used to be, they are doing the live stuff and it's repeated on Dave.
Guess the masses would rather be entertained than informed.
