¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ok, I've re-built my fileserver, and had to remove all the HD's in my case to cut a new fanhole in my case.

So, I've done all this, and re-plugged it all up, and now the RAID controller throwing a wobbly.

Here's the spec:

Via epia 5000 motherboard, cpu, onboard everything
256mb RAM
RocketRAID 1820 Controller
5 x 320gb Samsung HD321KJ's

Now, I think this may have something to do with the order which the drives are plugged up. Before, I had it configured as 1 x 1.2TB array.

My controller now see's 3 different broken arrays, all with the same name. WTF? All 5 drives are connected ok, and getting power. Is it worth just changing the order of the cables until it works? There are 20 different combo's tho... :(

I can post piccies of the error screens if that will help?

I'm guessing it's the order of the drives on the controller, especially if all the broken arrays are showing the same name. You've probably got it almost right - 2 pairs of disks are in the right order with respect to each other.

When you get it sorted mark the cables and the drives.

I've tried re-arranging the cables, and I think I've made things worse. :(

I used to show an array of 4 + 1,

now it shows 3 + 1 + 1. :(

I'll keep trying tho....
