Gaining weight with dumbbells?

Ive been trying to gain weight for a while but no matter how much i eat i burn it off so i see no gains.

I weight 10st 2lb @ 5ft 9.

Ive been taking prolab nlarge for about 2 months now with no gains at all.


Can anyone recommend me a daily routine to gain upper body strength + weight just using dumbbells and a bench?


Also is it best to take the gainer before workout or after?

Eat more, you're obviously not eating as much as you think. And forget about taking expensive weight gaining products, just spend that money on lots of good quality real food.

Have a read of the sticky :)

You don't need expensive supplements to gain weight/muscle. Just good nutrition, training and knowledge.
 
Are you doing any of the larger compound lifts?

My guess is you aren't lifting hard enough, working the whole body, and eating anywhere near enough calories.

What's your training regimen at the moment?
What's your diet like?

Take a look at ExRx for some exercises you can do with dumbbells, it should limit you too much IMO.
